A writer friend (wh...Good, though a tad melancholy. A writer friend (who was there) is dying of cancer, I found out, and it could be tomorrow or could be some time yet. Glad I got to see him, though, and glad I was told, rather than wandering around blissfully unaware.<BR/><BR/>No novel news yet (at least none I can make public). My panels went well, one of which was SRO and one (with Greg Bear) was in a larger room and was well populated and good fun.<BR/><BR/>The weather was cold and windy and wet. The con appeared to go over 2500, which was pretty good. I got copies of Holly Phillips' new novel, The Burning Girl, and Steven Mills' as well, Burning Stones. Hung with some pretty cool people, made some new friends, came home tired.
