House Hunting
It's been absolutely nuts around here the past few weeks. We sold the house, and then headed off last Thursday to look for a place to live. Our realtor there picked us up at the hotel at 3:30pm and we saw 8 places that night, then 13 the next day. Five were chosen for a follow up on Saturday morning, and then we wrote up an offer over lunch, dealt with the rebuttal by phone from the Saskatoon airport, dealt with another counter from Edmonton's airport and yet again from Vancouver airport. By the time we'd landed in Prince George we had decided that our final offer was not going to go, so had decided on a game plan for our second choice.
But Lo! They took the offer. And so, provided the inspection works out and all the conditions come off in time, this will be our new house come early August. The place needs work out in the yard and garden, and needs to look a little sharper on the exterior, but the inside is impeccable, and considering the asking price and what else was out there, we got a bargain.
