On the Move, Once Again

Having lived in Prince George for almost 7 years, it seems surprising that we haven't worn out our welcome and been run out of town on a rail.

Ha ha! No, just joking. I'm the only one who would get that treatment, but because of my family (and my latent insanity), we've been treated with kid gloves.

Anyhow, recently my lovely wife was headhunted for a new job and duly went off for an interview. No surprise to me (or to the people she works with, unless you count the some people upstairs who seem surprised to find that not only does she work there but that she's sometimes the glue that holds the place together), the interview went well and she received an offer.

So, as of August 18, she will be in charge of the Murray Library at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. The Murray is the largest of 7 branches on campus, a school that is about 9X bigger than UNBC, as well as about 10X older. It's also a city about 3X the size of PG, and I suspect with a lot more to offer.

Friends will be missed, children (especially Aidan) will need to adjust, and we'll also miss the house and the neighbourhood. But we think this is a pretty solid move, although a tad more nerve wracking than our previous move from the US back to Canada. Especially since this time we have a house we have to sell.
