Guernica in 3D
This is the week the packing starts in earnest, but I needed to put this up, via Biomes. It's a 3D tour of Picasso's painting Guernica, a painting I first saw as the cover for a social studies textbook when I was in school, an image that so captivated me I went to find out what I could about it.
The tour does an excellent job of opening up a dense work, especially for people who can't wrap their heads around Picasso's style. And while it would have been nice to pause on each element and take time to explain it, the music is perhaps a more aesthetically pleasing choice.
