Ah, Mary
I was listening to my iPod the other day and got to thinking about all the songs that have the name "Mary" in the title and decided I should see how many I have on iTunes. Keeping in mind I have plenty of CDs I haven't gotten around to ripping yet, here's the list:
Mary's Place - Bruce Springsteen (two versions, one from The Rising and one from a live bootleg)
O Mary Don't You Weep - Bruce Springsteen
Hello Mary Lou - CCR
Proud Mary - CCR
Hello Mary - David Baerwald
Ah Mary - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Sing Mary Sing - Jennifer Knapp
Proud Mary - John Fogerty
Mary - The Maccabees
Mary Danced With Soldiers - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band with Emmylou Harris
For the Sake of Mary - Richard Thompson
Mary Jane's Last Dance - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Mary Clare Malloy - Tom Russell with Dolores Keane
I haven't ripped Supertramp yet, so there's Goodbye Mary missing. I don't count Mary Chapin Carpenter or Seven Mary Three, since those are performer names. I'll have to dig through the CDs and see what else I have.

Hey Derryl, are you sure the Supertramp song you're thinking of isn't "Goodbye Stranger?" It has the lyrics, "Goodbye Mary/Goodbye Jane..." but "Mary's" not in the title.
Of course, I once asked you if some folk singer was "the Gordon Lightfoot of Canada," so I'll believe you if you say there's a Supertramp song with which I'm unfamiliar. :)
